Better Understanding Of Education
Education is described as the process of acquiring skills, knowledge, beliefs and habits. Education can be earned through different and very diverse ways. The most common method of gaining an education is through training. Learning is guided through systems and taken through a situation or an event in the training sessions. The learner is expected to use the knowledge gathered and apply it perform another task of the same level in the real setting. Education in the common world happens through a process called pedagogy. This is the classroom education. It is the process of teaching and being taught in a school or classrooms while following the syllabus. Later one is expected to sit for exams.
History of education
Education traces back to the early ages of the prehistory. In this period adults had the responsibilities to teach the young one on the cultures and customs of the tribe. Believes was also passed from the adult to the children. Parents were obligated to teach their parents how to respect other people and how to adapt learning. Education was passed orally from one generation to the other. Children were involved in the parent’s business and the activities. They were assigned the less demanding job. They learned by intimating what the parent was doing. When the depend arose to learn more thing than the cultures of a community, formal education developed. The first school was formed in 333 BCE in Egypt.
Formal education
Formal education is the kind of education present in the world today. It involves education in a structured and an organized environment. The structured environment is not responsive to change. In most cases, it is the school environment. The school environment has classrooms and libraries. In the school, there are trained, teacher and trained staff. There is a student, and they follow a predefined curriculum of study. They are taught in an organizational model with goals and objective. At the end of the learning period, one is expected to sit for exams the performance is dependent on the score on the final exams.
Formal education goes in stages. The first stage is called preschool stages. Mostly it is known as the preprimary education/nursery education. It is the school for the for students in the early ages between 3 to 6 years. However, this depends on one’s country. From preschool, a student is expected to join the primary school, then secondary after which you enter the tertiary institution. This is mostly a college or a university. After one goes through all these stages, one is said to have gone through the education system.
